Re: Re: How am I doing so far?
It is important to remember than permissions are inherited downward but override upward. This primer might help.
Child pages do inherit the category permissions of their parents, if it is included in the category. For example, if you have:
- Category A
- Page 1
- Category B
- Page 2
Category B is a child of Category A. However, you can potentially have Page 2 included in Category B but not Category A. Tiki is highly flexible — but the trade-off is complexity.
Thanks, Wayne, you just have go to 'Edit CSS', paste the additional css (in this case 'classes' - beginning with a full stop) in, then save. Then you can use the classes in Tiki boxes and divs, as on this page: http://www.opgo.co.uk/twx/BOX
You need to click on the link at the bottom to see the CSS.
An alternative is to include the custom CSS within Tiki instead of adding it to the .css file, as illustrated here. This method has two distinct advantages:
- Giving write access to the .css is a potential security risk (as you're allowing users to write to your server root)
- When you customizing the .css you'll need to re-apply the customizations for each subsequent Tiki upgrade.
Not at all! Please do use the forum (and feel free to create wiki pages, as needed) on the Community site. That's what it is here for!
