For banner i guess (not tested) you can use (under Admin->Banner) html code. It should work.

For banner on the top of tiki open templates/header.pl (or top.p)l ONLY WITH EXTERNAL EDITOR (to preserve javascript) and paste your html code for your object embedded with all the parameters.
