TikiFest Virtual June 2020

While some restrictions are being lifted in various countries, the coronavirus pandemic is still a serious threat to public health, and guidelines for the safe and gradual restoration of travel are making it impossible to organize a normal Tikifest where people from all over the world to meet and work together for several days. But, because we often get together online, and we have the Tiki tools to collaborate remotely, the lockdowns won’t stop us from holding a virtual TikiFest.

The dates, topics, agenda, and so on for the online event are being planned now. At our recent Round Table Meeting, Tiki's Profiles feature was brought up as something that needs to be repaired or replaced, so this is on the agenda for sure. Beyond that, please visit TikiFest Virtual 2020 for more information. If you would like to help set the details, please register at Tiki.org if you haven't done so already, and add your ideas to the page. And stay tuned for the announcement of the meeting dates and other details.

After-FOSDEM TikiFest 2016

FOSDEM may be over, but this doesn't stop the attendees among our community from being productive. If anything, because of the TikiFest that followed immediately, the opposite was the case; two days of hacking led to a huge amount of items to be struck off the to-do list.

Several members of the Tiki Community will be participating in the Community Leadership Summit (July 23-24) and the O'Reilly OSCON convention (July 25-29), both in Portland, Oregon.

The Community Leadership Summit brings together the leading minds in community management, relations and online collaboration to discuss, debate and continue to refine the art of building an effective and capable community, in an open unconference-style event.

The Open Source Convention allows open source innovators, builders, and pioneers to share their expertise and experience, explore new ideas, and inspire each other. Be sure to visit the Tiki booth (#902) in the Expo Hall. This is your chance to talk with key members of the Tiki Community, learn more about Tiki, and get a highly coveted Tiki T-shirt.

Several Tiki Community members plan to attend all days of the convention and participate in several sessions and workshops.
