DateFormating

Problem

I'm really tired of reading the same long date format like Mon 21 Jun, 2004 11:38 UTC, I would defenitley prefer reading 2004-06-21, so i'm trying to figure out how to do this.

If you want to do the same, you're in the right place.

Solution

It seems to be feasable via configuring the Smarty Template output filer for dates.
My problem now is: where is that filter??

Damian points to /lib/smarty_tiki and the modifier files.

Categorization

I failed in choosing an appropriate category for this page. Fill free to do it if you find a suitable place.
By the way, is there a Best Practices category or something similar some where?
