      <title>Tiki Security Patches Available for 8.3 and 6.6 LTS</title>
      <description><![CDATA[The Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware project has released a security patch for its stable and LTS (long term support) versions. Both versions are available for immediate download.<br />
<br />
<strong>Tiki 8.3</strong> includes bug fixes and security patches. <strong>Tiki 6.6 LTS</strong> includes only the security fixes. Both releases address a Cross Site Scripting vulnerability (first reported by <a class="wiki external" target="_blank" href="http://netfuzzer.blogspot.com/" rel="external nofollow">Mario Gomes</a>) and a Null Byte Injection vulnerability (first reported by Egidio Romano aka EgiX). Both vulnerabilities are exploitable only by users with full administrator permissions. Refer to the release notes and change logs for complete information.<br />
<br />
All Tiki administrators are highly encouraged to upgrade to version 6.6 or 8.3. You can download these versions (and all other Tiki releases) from <a class="wiki external" target="_blank" href="http://tiki.org/download" rel="external nofollow">http://tiki.org/download</a>.<br />

      <title>Tiki Community Presents Free Webinars</title>
      <description><![CDATA[Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware will present a series of free webinars starting <strong>Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 21:00:00 UTC</strong> (<a class="wiki external" target="_blank" href="http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?year=2012&amp;month=1&amp;day=19&amp;hour=21&amp;min=0&amp;sec=0" rel="external nofollow">find your timezone</a>) using BigBlueButton (<a class="wiki external" target="_blank" href="http://bigbluebutton.org" rel="external nofollow">http://bigbluebutton.org</a>). These webinars will allow the Tiki Community to introduce new features in current and upcoming releases of Tiki. Additionally, Tiki Developers will be able to show off their latest work and Tiki admins can give a virtual tour of their own sites.<br />
<br />
The seminars are free for anyone with an interest in Tiki, wikis, and content management systems (CMS). Participants attending the seminars will use the Tiki + BigBlueButton integration. This integration features full audio and visual communication, chatting, desktop sharing, and much more... and requires only a browser! The seminars also allow the Tiki Community to "dogfood" these features!<br />
<br />
The first webinar, on January 19, will feature a demonstration of Tiki Draw and Tiki Docs, a developer-led discussion of several upcoming features, and include plenty of open time for community discussion.<br />

      <title>Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware 8.2 and 6.5LTS Security Patches Available</title>
      <description><![CDATA[The Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware project has released a security patch for its stable and LTS (long term support) versions. Both versions are available for immediate download.<br />
<br />
Tiki <strong>8.2</strong> includes several bug fixes, feature enhancements, and security fixes.<br />
<br />
Tiki <strong>6.5 LTS</strong> (Long Term Support) includes several bug fixes and two security patches. There are no new features in this release.<br />
<br />
Both releases address an XSS vulnerability identified by <a class="wiki external" target="_blank" href="http://netfuzzer.blogspot.com/" rel="external nofollow">Mario Gomes</a> and <a class="wiki external" target="_blank" href="http://avantech.net/" rel="external nofollow">Marc Laporte</a> using the <a class="wiki external" target="_blank" href="http://subgraph.com" rel="external nofollow">Vega security scanner</a> and other XSS vulnerabilities reported by <a class="wiki external" target="_blank" href="http://www.infoserve.de" rel="external nofollow">Stefan Schurtz</a>. Refer to the release notes and change logs for complete information.<br />
<br />
All Tiki administrators  are <strong>highly encouraged</strong> to upgrade to version 6.5 or 8.2. You can download these versions (and all other Tiki releases) from <a class="wiki external" target="_blank" href="http://tiki.org/download" rel="external nofollow">http://tiki.org/download</a>.<br />

      <title>Tiki 8.1 Now Available, End-of-Life for Tiki 7.x</title>
      <description><![CDATA[The latest version of Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware, <strong>Tiki 8.1</strong> is now available for immediate download. This release includes many new features and improved functionality, with more than 3,200 code updates by 43 Tiki Community members. Review the Tiki 8 Release Notes (<a class="wiki external" target="_blank" href="http://tiki.org/ReleaseNotes8.1" rel="external nofollow">http://tiki.org/ReleaseNotes8.1</a>) and change log for complete information.<br />

</li><li>Multiple enhancements to site search, such as indexing improvements, caching, and the ability to export search results as an RSS feed
</li><li> Several new Tiki plugins
</li><li> Update of the template engine from Smarty 2 to 3.
</li><li> Security fix, first identified by <a class="wiki external" target="_blank" href="http://www.infoserve.de/" rel="external nofollow">Stefan Schurtz</a>

      <title>Tiki Mailing Lists Pass 100,000 Messages</title>
      <description><![CDATA[Recently, the Tiki mailing lists posted their 100,000th message! This level of collaboration has helped Tiki become the <a href="http://tiki.org/Open+Source+Web+Application+with+the+most+built-in+features" class="wiki external">Open Source Web Application with the most built-in features</a>.<br />
<br />
Even more amazingly, the mailing list traffic does not include the discussions on the Tiki forums, bug tracker and feature wishlist, IRC chatroom, and individual wiki pages!<br />
